Trade – Adding Fashion Accessories to the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP)

The U.S. Trade Representative is now accepting petitions to add a range of fashion accessories to the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) program. If the petitions are reviewed and accepted by the U.S. government, certain types of fashion accessories imported from GSP-eligible countries (including the Philippines, Cambodia, Thailand, Brazil, and Indonesia) will be able to enter the U.S. duty-free. The new benefits could go into place as early as Summer 2016. The petitions are due October 16. To learn more, please contact FASA’s Nate Herman.
