Truckstop.com, which began in 1995 as the first internet-enabled load board, has acquired Grizella.
Grizella provides technology solutions for the freight transportation industry and was founded in 2000.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Commenting on the deal, Grizella President Mark Draeb said, “Not only will we be able to continue delivering the same great software solutions from our home in Hebron, N.D., we’ll now have an even deeper well of resources to draw from to enhance our suite of solutions.”
Truckstop.com CEO Paris Cole said, “Adding Grizella software solutions like SaferWatch and PostEverywhere makes the Truckstop.com’s industry leadership and suite of products even stronger.”
SaferWatch is software that aggregates comprehensive motor carrier data from multiple sources and provides customizable due diligence tools to streamline carrier selection and compliance monitoring, Grizella explained.
PostEverywhere is a network of load boards and carrier apps that can interface with transportation management software or stand alone.
Truckstop.com said more information and details on its acquisition of Grizella will be released in the upcoming months.
