DSV buys S&H to boost e-commerce operations

Danish transport and logistics company DSV is enhancing its e-commerce capabilities through its acquisition of S&H.
DSV signed and closed on the deal Tuesday to acquire 100 percent of S&H’s shares. However, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Netherlands-based S&H holds a leading position in multichannel fulfillment in Europe, DSV said. S&H offers a range of services, including warehousing, response handling, financial fulfillment, product fulfillment, European distribution, customer service, returns handling, e-fulfillment and supply chain management.
S&H, which employs 120 people, will continue as a stand-alone company under the name of DSV Multi-channel Fulfillment.
DSV said that with the addition of S&H, it will be able to offer customers a wider range of services within the fields of both business-to-business and direct-to-consumer multichannel fulfillment, including e-fulfillment, financial fulfillment, merchandise logistics for current retail customers, sophisticated and flexible IT system and web support, and call center services.
“We have been on the lookout for a suitable add-on acquisition to boost our capabilities within e-commerce, specifically multichannel fulfilment,” said Brian Ejsing, chief executive officer of the DSV Solutions division. “S&H has proven itself as a champion within product fulfillment in the Benelux region.”
