Executive Moves: CargoLogicAir, Port of Corpus Christi

CargoLogicAir (CLA) has announced appointments to its executive management teams to support its growth strategy as it prepares to take delivery of its next Boeing 747 freighter.
Frank De Jong joins CLA as chief operations officer. He previously held a number of executive roles with Martinair. Prior to this new post, De Jong was director of product development at CargoLogicManagement, a British consulting company serving the international cargo airlines of the Volga-Dnepr Group and its strategic partners.
Freddie Overton joins CLA’s commercial team as the regional director for Europe and the Americas. He previously was with IAG Cargo.
Sean Pettit, an experienced aviation industry professional, has been hired to serve on the CLA management team as head of financial control.
Sarah Owens has been promoted to head the operations control center at CLA’s new headquarters near Heathrow Airport in London.
CLA is set to take delivery of its fourth Boeing 747-400ERF production freighter in October.

The Port of Corpus Christi has appointed Omar Garcia as its chief external affairs officer.
Garcia most recently served as the CEO of the South Texas Energy & Economic Roundtable. In 2010, then-Gov. Rick Perry appointed him to the Texas Economic Development Corporation.
In his new post, Garcia will be responsible for oversight and guidance of governmental and public affairs and communications and community relations for the port.
