CSX Corp., headquartered in Jacksonville, Fla., on Thursday announced a change in leadership for the merchandise and intermodal sales and marketing teams with the appointment of Dean Piacente to vice president of industrial products and Maryclare Kenney to vice president of intermodal and automotive.
Piacente, who has more than 30 years of experience at CSX, previously was vice president of intermodal. He now assumes responsibility for the company’s chemicals, metals, paper and forest products businesses.
Kenney, who joined CSX from PepsiCo in 2011, was leading the automotive business. She will continue to lead that business but also will assume responsibility for CSX’s intermodal sales and marketing.
Dupré Logistics on Thursday announced the opening of a Strategic Capacity Services (SCS) branch in the Knoxville, Tenn., area and the hiring of Chip Hawkins as the manager of the office.
This is the 12th SCS location to open since August 2016.
Dupré said Hawkins has 30 years of experience in logistics. That includes a stint with XPO Logistics.
Hawkins said the office initially will have four people working in it, but the company expects rapid growth and is looking to hire people with experience in the logistics industry.
