Commerce extends deadline for auto imports input

    In response to requests for additional time, the Department of Commerce has extended the deadline for written comments, data, analyses or other information pertinent to the investigation to determine the effects on national security of imports of cars, SUVs, vans, light trucks and automotive parts.
   Commerce extended the comment period to June 29 and the rebuttal period to July 13. Requests to appear at the hearings also are now due June 29. The hearings will be conducted from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 19 and 20.
   Written submissions must be addressed to Section 232 Automobile and Automotive Parts Imports Investigation and filed through the Federal eRulemaking Portal.
