Jean-Jacques Ruest has been promoted to president and chief executive officer of Canadian National Railway and given a seat on the board of directors.
Ruest, who has been with CN for 22 years, had served as executive vice president and chief marketing officer for the past eight years and was appointed interim president and CEO earlier this year.
Nautilus International Holding Corp. has appointed Robert B. Owens to succeed James R. Callahan as president and CEO.
Owens will oversee all functions of the various enterprises of Nautilus, including Metro Ports, Metro Cruise Services, Metro Shore Services, Metro Events and Terminal Security Solutions.
He joins Nautilus after three decades in the maritime and intermodal sector with such companies as Marine Terminals Corp., Ports America, Mi-Jack Products, TraPac and Total Terminals International.
Callahan will remain as chairman of Nautilus.
Navis, a part of Cargotec Corp. and provider of operational technologies and services across the shipping supply chain, has hired Lakshmanan “Laks” Krishnamoorthy as vice president and general manager of engineering.
Krishnamoorthy has more than 25 years of engineering experience. Most recently he served as senior director of product and engineering for merchant solutions at PayPal. Before that, he held various roles during a 17-year tenure with Sabre.
