The U.S. goods and services deficit jumped 12.1 percent to $566 billion in 2017, its highest level since 2008, according to the most recent data from the Commerce Department’s Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA).
IANA: Intermodal volumes grow 5.4% 2017
The annual growth in total North American intermodal shipments was helped by a strong fourth quarter in which volumes grew 5.8 percent year-over-year, according to recent statistics from the Intermodal Association of North America (IANA).
