Industry group pushes for secure truck stops in Europe

Landstar’s Q3 net income drops 7.8%

Jacksonville, Fla.-based Landstar System, Inc. posted a net income of $36.3 million on revenues of $788 million for the third quarter of 2016, year-over-year declines of 7.8 percent and 6.4 percent, respectively.

ATA: Truck tonnage index slips below 2015 levels in September

The seasonally adjusted For-Hire Truck Tonnage Index equaled 132.7 for the month, down 5.8 percent from August and 0.7 percent compared with September 2015, the first year-over-year decline of 2016, according to American Trucking Associations.
