Trade — TPP Negotiators Make Progress, but Leave Maui without an Agreement

On July 31, Trade Ministers from the 12 countries negotiating the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) Free Trade Agreement announced that they had made significant progress, but were unable to reach a final agreement during negotiations in Maui. All 12 countries committed to completing the agreement as soon as possible. FASA was on the ground in Maui meeting with negotiators and other stakeholders and pushing for a positive outcome for the industry. Fashion accessories remain among the handful of issues that still need to be finalized in the final TPP agreement.
