Product Safety — California Proposes Changes to Prop 65 Lead Safe Harbor Levels

The California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment will <=””>propose changes to the existing maximum allowable dose level (MADL) (i.e. safe harbor level) for lead. The agency’s decision follows a petition by the Center for Environmental Health (CEH) to repeal or amend Proposition 65 regulations relating to the MADL for lead. FASA and the larger business community will oppose the agency’s proposal.
