BluJay updates global trade network platform

BluJay Solutions, a supply chain software and services provider, has updated its global trade network (GTN) platform.
The latest update to version 18.2 delivers full multimodal transportation support, with extended customs management and mobile capabilities designed to help companies streamline their global supply chain management, BluJay said.
BluJay’s transportation management solution — which includes truckload, less-than-truckload, ocean, parcel, rail and now air — offers full multimodal support in one solution, with the latest software release including air mode support for booking creation and shipping assignment.
Version 18.2 also includes tracking provider integration with GateHouse Logistics, a telematics data aggregation and sharing platform that consolidates data from over 400 telematics systems.
Several enhancements also were added to BluJay’s mobility solution, called MobileSTAR, including the use of augmented reality overlay to validate item dimensions.
MobileSTAR provides real-time tracking and last-mile routing across the supply chain and already was integrated with BluJay’s transportation management applications for shippers, forwarders and logistics service providers, but with version 18.2, it has been expanded beyond transportation to yard management.
BlueJay’s customs management solution, which enables trade across regions from a single platform, now includes new computerized transit system support for Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Italy, Poland and the United Kingdom. Canadian, French, Italian, Norwegian and Swedish language support also has been added.
Other updates with version 18.2 include BluJay’s parcel solution adding visibility to UPS parcel invoice information; first-phase integration with Stargo to digitize the procure-to-pay process for freight forwarders; and the addition of OpenStreetMaps to the control tower component of the GTN.
“Supply chain execution is becoming increasingly important to overall business strategy for many organizations,” said Doug Surrett, BluJay chief product strategist. “With factors like ongoing trade wars, GDPR regulations and the end-user’s desire to have visibility into the last mile, to name a few, it’s essential that companies partner with a provider that can address their supply chain needs with proven technology and a strong global network.
“The latest version of the BluJay GTN product suite addresses all of these areas while helping companies streamline their global supply chain management to maximize speed, efficiency, and safety in the movement of goods around the world,” Surrett said.
